Rede George

Rede George, branded on-air as TV George (stylized as tvgeorge) and commonly known as just George, is a Delnican commercial television network, being launched on April 26th, 1965 by businessman and journalist Norberto Morinho, then-owner of sister newspaper O George and sister radio station Rádio George.

It is headquartered in Rio de Centeiro, with additional operations being held in São Antônio, aside from additional owned-and-operated stations in Porto Horizonte (Minas Estáinos), Chadôquia (Distrito Federal), Cuíarrife (Dernambuco), Clevás (Forte Paulo) and Guaráguay (Nortário), being owned by Grupo George.

It is the country's largest and most watched television network, although it has also been criticized for its near monopolistic dominance in the media landscape, its quality decline over the years and its bias towards the Delnican Social Democratic Party and more recently towards the Workers' Party, which the network has ironically criticized for several years since the country's redemocratization, aside for previously supporting the 1964 civic-military coup d'état, a move the network eventually came to regret.

Its primary competitors are Rede Unicord, SDT, Rede Roseirantes, Redetele! and TV Pública.
