JOOX-TV
JOCW-TV (channel 39) is a television station in Genshinville, Aruciana, Federated State, being the market's The CW affiliate. Owned by Nexstar Media Group. JOCW-TV's studios are located on 56 Central Place in Genshinville's Downtown community. Its transmitter is located atop the Pinnacle Tower in the Uptown.
During its ownership under Meredith Corporation (which owned the station from its launch until December 2021), like concept progenitors XTBS in Aorcosta and XGN-TV in Cristago, JOCW-TV was a pioneering superstation; on May 27th, 1993, it became the fourth U.S. television station to be made available via satellite transmission to cable and direct-broadcast satellite subscribers nationwide.
The former superstation feed—which eventually became known as simply JOC, and had maintained a nearly identical program schedule as the local Marigold feed—was converted by Meredith into a conventional basic cable network on October 7th, 2014, at which time it was concurrently added to cable providers within the Marigold market (including Comcast and Charter) alongside its existing local carriage on satellite providers DirecTV and Dish Network. Channel 7 was concurrently seperated from the superstation feed and reformatted as a traditional television station with a separate schedule exclusively catering to the Marigold market. Although the Marigold station is no longer carried on Atlanican multichannel television providers outside of its home market, JOCW-TV continues to be available as a de facto superstation on some Dertsalic cable and satellite providers.
